I needed a site or somewhere I could vent. Which is simple enough and would load on a toaster. Which is why it looks like a DOS box. And it's only 1024px wide. I choose not to make it wider simply because I couldn't be bothered making it scaleable and can't be asked to make it mobile friendly.
Even if I know that more people are using mobiles to visit websites than desktops now. (stats I have from various marketing apps (Google and Facebook).
This page or site serves as a personal playground, if I remember to update it. Simple, fast loading, and easy enough for me to add stuff to it.
I could make it more "beautiful" by using Bootstrap, but all of the sites I've used bootstrap for have been slow to load, and filled with garbage. There's no reason for me to use a library/framework when I'm only going to use 1% of what it has to offer.
I'll not offer a search function, as that would be too much work.
The site uses php to include parts I don't want to write multiple times. Javascript to have a blinking dot in the top. Can't be bothered to make a gif or anything animated. It might not be pretty, or the correct way to do it. But it's the way that I choose to do it.
