I think I’ve ruined my sleeping schedule, again. I woke up at around 5pm today, and then just spent an hour or so in bed before getting up to look through the stuff I havent seen today regarding news, like Reddit and Youtube I havent seen since I went to bed at, like I think it was at 5 or 6am. Not much programming has happened since last I updated this page. I’ve just been thinking about alot of stuff and how to do somethings. Like I’m in the process of moving, so I’ve just been packing and getting ready for that. It isnt easy to move when you have alot of stuff. I know some people who pretty much only have a bed, desk, and a computer, and that’s all they own. Meanwhile I have so much stuff from my childhood, for example I got a lot of gaming consoles and games, alot of tech. Which needs to be packed correctly so nothing takes damage. Every once in a while I do think about just selling it all so I can live a more simple life, with fewer things, but it is very nice to be able to just take out the thing I want to work with and do whatever with that and not have to think about buying something new. I did think about adding a review tab or page to this site so I could make written reviews about some of the stuff I do, but would there be much different than what I do on this page already? I dont think so. I have had the idea of having everything under one name, but thats hard to make, or atleast hard to get people to use. Everything is just difficult when it comes to getting people to use your products. I’ve had this idea if I had a lot of money that I would like to open up a retro gaming store, like used video games and such. But thats hard for me since it would mean I had to be more social, and had to keep with a schedule. But also with the thing that physical media is somewhat dying out, I know there is alot of people going back to it, but if I opened a store and then the PS6 and whatever the new Xbox is going to be, decide that they dont want to make physical games anymore and everything is digital, then what? The store would be out before it really got going. There is also the thing with such a store that most people dont want to visit physical stores anymore, they just order everything online. So from the stores in the country already they sell 90% of their products online, even if they have a good location. I just have too many ideas. But I have to figure out what I want to do, and how to make money from it, within a year or 2 unless I get approved for retirement, which could take a long time, or it could be fast. Nobody knows. I think thats it for now. Maybe I’ll update with more thoughts later if something new happens.

I havent been programming at all today. Ive just been looking at the news and writing with people. Currently with a headache. So I slept for long today, but thinking about going back to bed. My brother found a Commodore PC20-III with a 1402 monitor the other day, and he cant get it to work. I do want to help him, but he found it in the trash so its a little hard for me to go to his place and look at it without a car. He did ask me if he could use the monitor with one of his older computers, since it was a VGA like cable, but the 1402 monitor uses a DB9 connector. Which looks like a VGA connector, but not with as many pins. So he cant use it with other computers. He said that the monitor lights up, but the PC20-III doesnt start at all. That could mean its the power supply or the motherboard being dead. After he got this at home he asked if I had some floppy discs laying around. So I found some of the ones I have, but since I didnt know if any worked. I had to plug in an older computer that had an floppy drive. The computer was one I got from an old boss which brother had passed, might have been a year or 2 ago. I had formatted it some months ago to get it fresh, and it was a computer with Windows XP, so I just formatted it with that aswell. Some of the mails that were on the computer when I got it, was from 2006, so the computer was about that age. And the previous time it was started was in 2022, so it had been in use for quite a while. Like it has a Intel Core2 CPU and 2GB of ram. Which is plenty fine for Windows XP. Anyway it has a floppy disc drive, so I tried to use it with the formatted Windows XP, but there was some drivers missing, so I first thought that was the reason why it didnt want to load what was on the discs. It just didnt see anything, and it didnt see any of the floppy discs I tried to use. It didnt even list the floppy drive on the list of devices. Then I looked up what the reason could be, since Windows XP does have built in floppy drive support, and shouldnt need drivers. But the reason could also be a cable that is disconnected or loose, since I didnt check if it worked before I got the computer a few years ago. It was too late for me to start making noise at the apartment so I didnt do anything and just shut off the computer. So thats something on my to do list, because I do also want to get the stuff on the floppies, if they work, ripped of them and sent to the archive, that being either the Internet Archive, or my own archive I’ve made. But Im pretty sure nobody would use the stuff on my own archive since I dont have it on a public server, and Im not satisfied with how its currently working. On a completely different note, I do kind of want to get a radio license. Honestly Im not sure if anyone nearby even have radios like that, but I just think the tech is nice to fiddle with. I just have too many ideas in general. Alot of stuff I want to do, but with the way Im feeling its hard to do anything. I did switch to Windows a few months ago because some people I know wanted to play Warcraft 3, which didnt work on Linux. Battlenet didnt want to load when you launched it through Wine, or any of those programs that emulate a Windows system. With that switch I havent really had that many bluescreens, and my computer has been on 24/7 since then. But my memory usage has been very high. I keep struggling to close programs, and stuff like that to keep it at a reasonable limit. Like now with Firefox (5 tabs), Discord, Outlook and Windows Media Player running I’m using 9.5GB of RAM. And when I then look at the taskmanager for Firefox it shows the tabs I have open uses less than 2GB of RAM. So I think its just something with the way it keeps the cache. Now that I remember it, I did do some changes to this website, but I never uploaded it to the server it should be running on, so everything I’ve written in April as of this post aswell, has been on my local computer. I do also guess this page is some kind of diary for me. I dont write everything in my life on here, but I do post stuff I’ve done and things that could be interesting.

Many updates done so far, and it might work and some might not work. I’ve been working most of the day today when I’ve been awake on the archive site, just updating with the stuff I want it to be. In the evening I’ve gotten a call to check up on creating a SaaS company, and selling some of the stuff as a service. The archive site Ive added a feature to donate to get faster speeds. I’m currently working on the car dealer program so it would allow you to keep track of vehicles, so you can add a VIN number and it would update it once every 24 hours, so you would see if it got registered with a new license plate. Maybe I should add it so it checks if the car itself is listed for sale. Maybe that’s a thing I can make as well? A website where you can add cars for sale, free to list cars for sale as a private, but using the inventory software I’ve made business’ can create their entire inventory and add it to the website. Maybe thats something I can look into. So the companies just pay a monthly fee for access and then its free for them to sell cars there, but that would require the software to be able to look up cars and see the avg sales price for something similar on other sites, remove cars for privates after 30 days, or make them inactive if it still hasnt sold so people just dont forget their cars, incase they sell them elsewhere. This would require email notifications. Maybe it would require an app since many consumers would rather have the app than the website to look up vehicles and such. Just a bunch of ideas that could be made, but it requires alot of work to make. But as of right now then I have plenty of time to make something like this.

Just been working on random projects over the night, as it’s currently 3:41am. With a project for one of my old colleagues which he asked me to do some help with. A program where he could see every company in a certain business type, like for example, all companies selling USED CARS, and not new ones. And then he would be able to select the ones he have already called, and update if they wanted his services or not. Then after that program I started making an invite only archive, one where users can invite other users, and there would be limits to the specific user type unless they have been a user for long enough or uploaded more items to the site, or if they had donated to the site. Each user would be limited in some way, some with download speed, and others with what theyre able to see. The admin/moderators can then approve of uploads to make sure that the archive has correct stuff, or not correct, but good enough quality stuff, so its not just random garbage. This site would then mean I need to get more storage if I want it to be big, but since its an invite only site it does mean there wouldnt be that many people joining, but it also means there wouldnt be a public view of the files, so the files can be more private. I’m not sure if this would be uploaded to a server at any point other than what I have at home, but its just nice to make some of the stuff Ive had on my to do list for a while. There’s a bunch of bugs still I’m trying to figure out. But it might be ready to work on some servers. Just need to find a server that would allow me to have alot of bigger files on there, as I would expect there could be larger files. Or I would need to make everything into torrents, which wouldnt require much in file storage, but could make it so many people wouldnt download anything, and have issues with seeding. I do kinda also want to add the feature of watching files directly on the site, but that would mean massive storage requirement since those files can be large. I wouldnt really expect it to be that big of a job to get the player running and the speed for the site. But yeah can be a big hassel to get done, and with the idea of how many people would use it, its hard to say.

Did some updates for this page, now it’s easier for me to add stuff. Still dont know exactly if it works the way I want it to, technically it should. Just as a CMS where it’s easy to add new posts. Over the past few months I’ve just been working on a game, and music. That’s pretty much all I’ve done. Then I’ve been tested to have high blood pressure, so I’ve started taken medication for that. The game that I’ve started making is a roguelike kinda. It’s supposed to be something top down, like League of Legends, Age of Empires or Warcraft, where you control a single character together with other people, and you have to defeat rounds of enemies and when the round ends you can buy new items, which increases randomly percentage wise on your stats. Plus there’s skills and abilities which also can be leveled up. Function wise the game is pretty much done, and music is almost done. But I’m having a big issue with the art I want for the characters when you select them, and then also the 3d models. The design I want is kinda hard to make for me. I’ve done some models before, but I’m not good at the PSX graphics from late 90s. The music I’ve been making has been for the game, where I’ve been making about a full album for each character so each character has their own theme. And its in different genres aswell. Some are electronic and some are rock. Ive then sent some of the music to friends and family and they say its good and I need to release it on Spotify and such, but I’m not quite sure. I’m afraid of what people will say and if they will recognize me. I’ve also been working on a lot of websites and programs, like this site, alot of backend stuff on other projects. Like I’ve made a program that reads articles about stocks in companies, looks through them to see if it will go good or bad for them in the future, and then it will popup with saying you need to buy some shares, which I’m currently testing. This isnt something that’s being shared, as I dont know how ethical it is. I’ve then worked on a ticketing system for IT, and support cases. A quiz page for streamers, to make quizzes with their viewers, a mail thread viewer, video sharing site, to do list, voice chat, car inventory system, news article reader. The ticketing system was something I made because I’ve been thinking about something similar to what we had when I worked in Finland. Where you could create a ticket for each customer that called or mailed, write their issues, update with new information, and close it afterwards. This system also have a knowledge base where users can search for issues and then it might find a fix for the issue. Multiple users can use this, and have different permissions. There’s a chat for users to chat between them, direct messages and group chats. Both the chat and the tickets embed text files and images. The quiz page was because I was watching a streamer that sometimes made quizzes with their viewers where they would have a question and the viewers could answer, but sometimes it would be hard to keep track of who was in and if they had answered or not. Its using a randomized ID for each quiz so multiple streamers could use it at the same time. The mail thread viewer was because I got alot of mails regarding a few cases where it was sometimes hard to keep track of what was answered to what, then this system could upload the mail and figure out what thread it was for and then it would also keep track of all the attachments added. Saw a system like this on a Linux forum some time ago. The video sharing site was more for older systems, since I’ve been quite interested in the late 90s and early 2000s computing, so something that would work on those older machines, like a Pentium 3, where it would work with the built in browser and wouldnt require a newer one for the HTML 5 features. So something that would work with HTML2 and flash. It’s just on my local machine right now since the encoding uses alot of resources if people upload a 2gb video and then it had to encode to about a 5mb video, I know the quality would go far down, but it’s possible, just takes a little time for it to finish the encoding. The to do list was because I wanted to have something selfhosted like Trello. I just didnt want to have something else. The voice chat was due to me wanting something different than Discord, when it was big on the requirement of IDs.Car inventory system was made because I wanted to make something for the people here in the country where they could keep track of their sales cars, and also their own inventory, since the prices of that here is very high with pretty much only 2 providers. The news article reader, is pretty much just a scraper of the local news sites here, because I got tired of the good ones just eating up resources, since they either have alot of ads or are not lazy loading. So it scrapes the sites and adds them to a single page without any ads or anything, just a thumbnail and the article itself, with a link to the article and of course sorted by latest article, plus it gives you all the articles on a single page instead of having like 10 different news sources.I think that was it, I want to do more on this page with more updates and projects, but with how I am feeling mentally then I just think alot is going on, so I’ll try to update more.

Sun 25 January 2026

I haven’t updated this page in a while, but I’m just doing stuff to survive. Financially I’m not doing too well, but I’m making it work. I am eating less but thats about it. I got some ideas for making a game, or multiple games in a series, but with how great I am with making models I dont really feel it’s up to the standards I want, so I would like to get someone to make the models for me. But I know that would cost money, money which I dont have. So I’m trying to save up money to get some models made. I’ve been playing a little bit of Warcraft 3 custom games, which have made me get the idea for this game, or game series. I think it would be a good idea to make a main game, and then side games for the characters. I dont know if that would mean it’s a money grab, but that’s the idea I have so far with getting back story into the game. Since I dont feel like the game type would be good to have a backstory made for the characters. Like it’s a multiplayer game, and dont really have a story. So it’s just ideas so far, I have started making the game and the characters that I want to have in the game, like the story and a little of their story, but that’s about it. I’ve been working on this for about 4 days so far. Not too long to get some stuff done, but I also have been busy with alot of other stuff, like I’m moving soon. And then there has been alot with my mental health going on, so I’ve not been doing too well.

I’ve been selling some of my stuff lately to get money on the table, stuff that I have too many off. Even when it’s stuff I want to keep, but that’s just what I have to do. Had to sell my desktop computer, so I’m just working on many of my other computers. I counted to 7 desktop computers I had laying around fully functional, with harddrives and such installed. But yeah. Trying to sell out of them. Some of them I did get for free some years ago. I have been working a little with retro stuff, like Windows XP and older. 2 of the computers I had gotten some years ago was still running the original install of Windows XP on the harddrives. One was installed up in 2006 and the other in 2008. They’re fairly decent computers for the time, and didnt really have any slow downs, they were used mostly for emails and pdf files. I did try to get one working up with the stuff that I like, but due to them not really being able to run Discord, which I use to contact most people then I didnt run with them. I could maybe install a newer version of Windows on them, but I didnt. Right now they’re just unplugged and somewhere else in my room. I honestly dont know if I should sell them or not, they might sell quickly if the price is low enough, and some people do like retro computers for specific games or software. I do like the older stuff and like to run with it, but yeah it’s just hard to work with when everyone you talk with are on one program that requires alot of newer software. Like I could get Supermium working on Windows XP which would allow me to run Discord on the browser, but it didnt feel right to use that. I’ve also been watching a guy using Dial Up internet lately, over the past month or so. He uses an old computer from around 98, with Windows 98 installed on it. I think it’s interesting to look at how stuff worked back then. Even when the first computer that I was put in front of was a Windows 95 computer. We didnt get a Windows 98 computer before 2000, and then in 2001 we got XP installed. And in 2004 I got my first computer. Before that it was the family computer. It was that computer that I did my first videos online, but they sadly have been lost to time. There is a video from 2007 on Youtube made on that computer.

Regarding the game that I’ve been working on, I have some ideas. Like I did start making a game back in august, but stopped working on it, since I couldnt get the story written down how I want it to be. And I think that project would be too much for a first game developed. Like I do have some ideas for the game I want to make, but as I am with my website I’m never satisfied with how it’s working and looking, I always think it can be done better. Where with the new game that I’m working on, I want to get other people making stuff for it when I can get the money for it.

With my mental health, then I’m currently unemployed since I got fired back in October. And I haven’t been looking for a job because I know that with the mental health I have I might not be able to work. I’m currently in the process with the government to see what I’m able to do and work with, and it could take some time. So for the time being I’m just working on this website and the game that I want to make. I know that I dont update this website that often, and I do want to update it more, but there is just nothing really happening to my life. Other than working on the mental health stuff. Like right now I can barely even go outside my place. If I have to talk on the phone or do anything social then I feel sick. I want to be self employed, but I do also know that I can’t do much with no money. If I am selfemployed I wont get any funding for anything, which right now I get some unemployment benefits. If I were to be make this game that I’m working on then I would start up a business or something so I would be taxed less. Like if you have a business making the game or releasing the game then you would only pay 22% tax on the profits, instead of the 40-42% of personal income you pay here.

Anyway that’s the update I have for now. I’ll try to update with more soon. I know I will be rebuilding my computer soon, since it’s just laying open on a table beside my desk. I have a case for it and that, I just have been lazy and not working on putting it in.

It seems it has come to my attention that HP, is removing old articles, guides and drivers for their older products when they are no longer within warranty. One of the things I’ve wanted to do for a while was make a archive site with a bunch of old stuff, but that seems more like something I should start working on after reading this.
